Playback Console default settings for SS64 Songbook
How do I change the default settings for the playback console?
I would like to change the piano R and the piano L settings, the port and channel settings and make my settings 'default'.
Thanks.

Re: Playback Console default settings for SS64 Songbook
SS does not allow you to save new templates, so the only way to do that would be to set up a doc the way you want it, and save it somewhere convenient. Note that you need to enter at least one note in each part in order to access them in System Manager to change staff names, assign instruments, etc. Then, when you want to start a new score, open that document, do a Save As, delete the notes, and go from there.

Re: Playback Console default settings for SS64 Songbook
Remember that SmartScore is designed to handle RECOGNIZED music. As such, it has to make numerous assumptions about what it encounters in the music. A lot of work has gone into determining what defaults and under what circumstances they should be applied after recognition. In general, it words quite well. Example: Two staff lines inside a Grand Staff are assigned “Piano right” in the top and “Piano left” in the lower staves. Some folks may want it differently, and that’s fine because you change almost anything in SmartScore.
We’ve determined that these sorts of “high level” defaults should remain fixed but editable.
Thanks for listening.
