Avoid spurious tempo changes in generated MIDI files
When Smartscore saves a score as a MIDI file, sometimes two or more tempo values are generated for the same time instant. For instance, if a tempo value of say 60 BPM is placed at the very start of the score, The MIDI file starts with a tempo of 100 BPM (the default tempo) at time 0 followed by another tempo of 60 BPM, also at time 0. For many programs that read MIDI files, this is of no consequence, but a few seem to disregard second or more tempo values at the same time instant. Such programs will therefore always initially play back all MIDI files generated by Smartscore at 100 BPM regardless of the score notation.
Spurious tempo values are also generated at the end of accel. and rit. notations, since in Smartscore they always revert to a tempo before immediately changing to any explicit notation.
I therefore suggest that Smartscore be changed so that only the last tempo value at any time instant be written into the MIDI file.
