Scrolling with Magic Mouse
Is anyone using SS64 on a Mac, with the Magic Mouse? I'm finding that vertical scrolling is so sensitive, that the slightest touch on the mouse jumps multiple staves or even pages. I did not have this issue with SSP. I hesitate to buy a trackpad, unless I know that it will help. If it does, than, no problem.
This is ONLY in SS64. In all other programs, scrolling is easily controllable.
I also tried it with a Logitech USB mouse, with a scroll wheel. Perfect, no problems. So I have, at least, a temporary solution.

Re: Scrolling with Magic Mouse
Hi:
I have a Mac and I am using a trackpad 2. The vertical scrolling is indeed hypersensitive. I disable the scrolling using the Accessibility Pointer Control features when using SS 64, then everything works well. It's a kludge, but it is workable given that the arrow buttons work fine, and you can grab the right scroll bar button with the track pad pointer. Perhaps someone else has found a more elegant approach, but having tried the scroll speed settings to no avail, I am all ears!
Cheers!

Re: Scrolling with Magic Mouse
Hi again:
An additional finding: The Mac I use is a 2019 MacBook Pro. When I use its built-in trackpad, the scrolling seems fine. Perhaps it is a Bluetooth problem. I will play with possibility that to check it out.
Cheers again!

Thanks, David. It’s nice to know I’m not crazy, this time.

Re: Scrolling with Magic Mouse
Perhaps another idea related to the hypersensitive scrolling:
it may be that the scrollbar increments are set too high in the code. If so, this might not be too hard to fix. At least that could be done in Java (I'm quite certain SmartScore 64 is not coded in Java, however).
Cheers!

Re: Scrolling with Magic Mouse
Thanks, David. I know the guys have been working non-stop on this for a couple of years, so I’ll give them a pass on it for a while before I ask for a fix.
I appreciate you following this up. I’ll just use the USB mouse for now.

Re: Scrolling with Magic Mouse
I agree! The SmartScore guys must have had an enormous amount of work to do, and they deserve a pass for now, given that there are suitable work-arounds.
Cheers!

I did have issue. I'm a Mac user, and always disable vertical scrolling when using SmartScoreX2. It's disheartening now that you think SS64 worse.

Re: Scrolling with Magic Mouse
RG,
Get the demo, at least. The more of us that work on it, the faster we can evaluate it.

Re: Scrolling with Magic Mouse
Got a lot of work with the SSX2 midi data from last year, so it won't be tomorrow.
