Just bought the MIDI Edition to X2 MIDI Edition (Order 37884). downloaded and installed as an upgrade to the X MIDI Edition.

Went to validate, all data was correct, but system returned message that ID/Serial number were not a valid combination.

Anyone know the solution?

wow! That was fast. Got Tech Support e-mail in 5 minutes, 10 minutes later got the solution. Up and running. And the X2 is fantastic in reading accuracy.

Isn't really an user type of issue which most of us are and the Musitek (Smartscore) staff don't participate frequently on this board.
