Change playback start location
I am trying to create a midi from a pdf, and would like the playback to start from a specified location instead of at the start of the piece. Is this possible?
Thanks

Re: Change playback start location
Sorry but I'm not really clear on exactly what you are trying to accomplish, but there's an easy way to do what you've asked.
Scan and recognize the score, and edit the RNF as required. Save it.
Open the Playback Console menu Playback->Playback Console... (or simply ctl + 9). Using the Measure/Beat slider set the measure and beat within the dialog to where you want playback to start and press play.
Or if you just want a stand-alone midi file create a new score from the edited ENF and simply delete the measures you want to skip, adjusting the formating as required, and Use File->Save As with Midi FormatO or Midi Format1 as desired.
I'm guessing that neither of these approaches will satisfy your underlying request. If not try to explain the result you really want in a bit more detail and we can go from there.

Re: Change playback start location
Glad to be of some assistance. SSX is a very capable piece of software, but like many such applications has a definite learning curve.
If you haven't already done so, I highly recommend that you download the ever so useful "Using SmartScore X" PDF manual (can be done from the Help menu) and spend some time reading through it to become more familiar with some of the unique, and often not immediately obvious, terminology used by the program. Plus, there are quite a few very knowledgeable (and helpful) folks right here that check in once in a while to help out.
Welcome to the family!
