Opening MusicXML File and Missing Accidentals
When opening a MusicXML file, SmartScore is ignoring accidentals (<alter> in XML speak).
However, if I save an SSP file as a MusicXML file and open it back up, accidentals are read in. So this isn't as simple as SSP ignoring them completely.
In other words, SSP appears to correctly open XML files created by SSP itself, but not XML files created by another program. In this case, I'm creating these from Band In A Box.
I have confirmed that the XML files seem to have the correct XML element <alter> on the notes.
It appears SSP is not handling the XML files properly, but of course this could be an error in the XML file, though again it appears to be a correctly formatted MusicXML file.
So not sure if this is a bug in SSP, or is an incorrectly formatted XML file from BIAB. Or better still, is there simply something I need to do so these files open correctly.

Re: Opening MusicXML File and Missing Accidentals
I don't have BIAB, so I created a test file in Finale, and exported as XML. Accidentals opened correctly in SSP. The problem might be in the way the BIAB exports them.
Send one of your files to tech support, and let them have a look.

Re: Opening MusicXML File and Missing Accidentals
When you save to a MusicXML file and open it in another program, it's important to remember that it has gone through 2 transformations: The Export interpretation and Import interpretation. It's like translating text to another language.
If the importing program correctly supports the MusicXML specification (v. 3.1 as of today), what is seen in the importing program SHOULD look exactly as it appears in SmartScore.
Over 200 music programs now support the MusicXML format. Not all of them as well as they should. (Are you folks at Musescore listening?)
