Marking and control for introduction
Is there a way to mark a hymn within SmartScore to show an introduction? Most hymnals have a 'bracket-like' marking above the last few measures showing the pianist where to start the introduction.
Is this available in Smartscore?
Functionally it should affect the midi playback too.

Re: Marking and control for introduction
Not as far as I know. Remember, SmartScore is designed primarily as a music OCR program. While basic notation and playback features are there, anything beyond that are best done in a notation program: Finale, Sibelius, etc.
You could add a text slug intro mm. x-x where you want it. For playback, you would probably have to add the measures at the beginning of a “playback” score.

Re: Marking and control for introduction
You could also just add the Text Intro followed by continuous underscore characters to the end which could also be terminated with a "|" character.
I would think the word Intro would suffice by itself if they are anything like the ones I've played in a band where the Intro is just the last 4 bars typically.
As Mike said you would need a special version for correct playback.
