64-bit compatibility

quote:

After upgrading to MacOS [sign in to see URL] (High Sierra) I got a flag that eventually 32-bit applications like SmartScore will not be compatible with 64-bit processors on Macs. Does anyone know whether Musitek will upgrade SmartScore to be compatible?

Musitek is current porting SmartScore X2 to 64-bit. For those of you that can appreciate it, it's an enormous job, especially considering the size and complexity of SmartScore code. Our engineers are estimating completion toward the end of 2019 or early 2020, hopefully well before Apple OSX turns pure 64. A 64-bit Windows version will be released simultaneously.

Re: 64-bit compatibility

I think that question is best asked of Musitek since I don't think any of us users know more about it than you do.

Musitek does not obviously visit this forum often so you best contact them be email directly If you do get a meaningful answer please post it here so we can all benefit.

My understanding right now is that this may be an issue that will affect Macs sooner than Windows because Apple has apparently come out and stated the dropping of 32-bit support as a fact.

---
SmartScore ProX2 - since it came out, SmartScore ProX before it
Windows 10 - since officially released, Win 8.1, Win 7 before it
