That's why you're buying the full program, and not Music to XML! There is a learning curve to this step. Take your time, watch the videos, and ask here if you have questions. After you have made the corrections, THEN you export the XML, and import it into finale.nondisclosed_email@example.com (mikey12045)Wed, 28 Mar 2018 12:55:55 +0000 Re: pdf to tif failure in SmartScore X2 Pro Demohttps://bsmartscoreusertechresources.runboard.com/p215201,from=rss#post215201https://bsmartscoreusertechresources.runboard.com/p215201,from=rss#post215201Well, I got on today ready to copy and paste here the text from the error message that I DID get previously (since mikey12045 asked), but decided to copy the file to my hard drive first and try it that way (to follow his suggestion), just in case. Yep -- that was it! It seemed to recognize it just fine. So now I need to just turn it into a MusicXML file, so I can import it into Finale, right? And that's going to work, as long as I purchase the "real thing" instead of the demo, right? nondisclosed_email@example.com (DrTimSawyer)Wed, 28 Mar 2018 09:44:17 +0000 Re: pdf to tif failure in SmartScore X2 Pro Demohttps://bsmartscoreusertechresources.runboard.com/p215199,from=rss#post215199https://bsmartscoreusertechresources.runboard.com/p215199,from=rss#post215199I don't know why it should matter, but can you copy the PDF to your computer, and recognize it from there? Are you getting any error message? nondisclosed_email@example.com (mikey12045)Tue, 27 Mar 2018 07:54:11 +0000 Re: pdf to tif failure in SmartScore X2 Pro Demohttps://bsmartscoreusertechresources.runboard.com/p215197,from=rss#post215197https://bsmartscoreusertechresources.runboard.com/p215197,from=rss#post215197The Download section of the Musitek site says all Demo versions are fully functional including PDF recognition except for saving or printing recognized scores. Have you tried other PDF files than the ones on your CD? Shouldn't be too hard to find a PDF of some music on the web. Do you know what program produced the PDF file? Have you printed out the PDF to see what it looks like on paper? nondisclosed_email@example.com (ZootS)Tue, 27 Mar 2018 05:54:29 +0000 pdf to tif failure in SmartScore X2 Pro Demohttps://bsmartscoreusertechresources.runboard.com/p215196,from=rss#post215196https://bsmartscoreusertechresources.runboard.com/p215196,from=rss#post215196Pretty much what I said in the subject. I hope it's just something like "that feature is deactivated in the demo, but will be active in the real thing." Otherwise, "Houston, we have a problem!" Incidentally, I'm trying to "recognize" a pdf from a CD-Rom, if that makes a difference. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm totally brand new to this! Thanks for any guidance you can provide.nondisclosed_email@example.com (DrTimSawyer)Mon, 26 Mar 2018 17:04:18 +0000
