Thanks, that solved both my problems.nondisclosed_email@example.com (GoldmanT)Mon, 06 Nov 2017 13:14:40 +0000 Re: One voice across both staves / exporting piano notation to .midhttps://bsmartscoreusertechresources.runboard.com/p215053,from=rss#post215053https://bsmartscoreusertechresources.runboard.com/p215053,from=rss#post215053You can freeze the active staff by pressing Caps Lock on your keyboard. When you move the cursor off it, it will remain the active staff. Have you tried saving both type 0 and type 1 MIDI files? Does MuseScore have any controls for reading the MIDI file into it? Finale lets you select whether "Tracks become Staves" or "Channels become Staves". I'm no MIDI expert by any stretch of the imagination so this is the best I can do.nondisclosed_email@example.com (ZootS)Mon, 06 Nov 2017 12:51:37 +0000 One voice across both staves / exporting piano notation to .midhttps://bsmartscoreusertechresources.runboard.com/p215052,from=rss#post215052https://bsmartscoreusertechresources.runboard.com/p215052,from=rss#post215052I have a piece I'm working on (which some of you helped with the recognition of a while ago, thank you) that has quite a few occasions where one voice is split across two staves of a piano grand staff (e.g. bars 4 and 5, second piano part). It means that I can't edit the notes in the bass clef, because as soon as I move the cursor down from the treble clef to reach them, 'control' switches to the bass clef and those notes gray out; as far as Smartscore is concerned there *are* no notes belonging to the bass clef. How can I edit these notes? Also, it has recognised 11 different voices across 4 tracks, according to the Playback Console. I want to export a .mid and import it into Musescore, but every time I do there's a separate stave for each of the voices. For example, I want all three of the voices associated with track 1 to be on the treble clef in Musescore (I realise I'll probably have to insert bass clefs as needed), all three of the voices associated with track 2 to be on the bass clef, and so on. How do I export the .mid to achieve this? Using Smartscore Midi v10.5.8 on Windows 10, so can't export in MusicXML. Thanks in advance, edit, link removednondisclosed_email@example.com (GoldmanT)Mon, 06 Nov 2017 11:57:53 +0000
