Ghost notes? - Resolved

I don't know if this is a Technical Question, or a Feature Request. I've owned several versions of SmartScore Pro by now, but I've never been able to figure out how to insert Ghost Notes, notes that have a X instead of a note head that have no discernable pitch. It doesn't seem like it would be that difficult a thing to do -- just place the notes you want and then covert them to Ghost Notes, but I can't find a reference to this online, and I don't see this funciton listed. Every time I 'Recongize' a file with Ghost Notes, they are just scanned wrong. Can SmartScore do this? If not, can we get the capability added?

quote:

If your "ghost notes" are not recognized, you can insert any standard note value at the pitch you wish then convert the note head property:
With the "Properties" tool activated (the arrow in the lower toolbar or hit the "Esc" key), click on the notehead in question. In the Note Properties dialog, locate and choose any one of several alternative noteheads ("x", "diamond", "triangle", etc.)

Re: Ghost notes?

SSP is designed to scan and recognize. As such, I agree that it should adapt when it sees a X-notehead. But it doesn't.

There is no way to enter one. I do that in Finale. Remember, SSP is a scanning program, not a composing one, so it won't have a lot of features.
