Problems with VST host in V10.2.3 under Win XP Pro SP2
I really haven't used the SSXPro VST host very much, but I do seem to remember at least getting it to work.
I recently installed the latest update, and now I can't seem to get the VST thing to work at all. I can select the "VST plugins" in the "Playback->Midi Devices..." dialog, and I can Add VST plugs in the dialog for the "Playback->VST Playback setup..." menu item. But when I try to select one of the instruments I've added, neither the "Show Parameters" or the "Show Editor" buttons appear active and there is no response later when I select the VST button on the toolbar.
Tech Support suggested this may be due to the fact that I am only at XPProSP2 and their suggestion was to install SP3. Unfortunately, I cannot install SP3 without rendering my very fine, but old audio interface cards useless, and SSXPro is only a secondary application on my DAW workstation, so I'm not going to kill my workstation to make it work.
The last thing I tried was uninstalling all the versions of SSXPro and re-installing only the updated version. No difference.
Anyone else have issues with the VST player after installing the V10.2.3 update?
