Users without admin privileges
It seems SmartScore Pro will not allow users without admin privileges to use the software(scan) correctly throwing and error saying "scanner not ready", though the scanner/twain driver will work in other applications perfectly (Adobe Photoshop.. etc)
Please advise,and let me know what info you might need that may help troubleshoot this process.
OS X.4.8
Machine Powermac G5 Dual 2.7 2G RAM
Scanner Epson v100
Scanner Twain driver version 3.03

Have you taken our advice sent to you via email and updated OSX to 10.4.10 yet? Also, have you repaired permissions using the OSX disk utility? We also asked you about your SmartScore version number and Epson driver updates. Typically, Applications like Photoshop communicate to scanners via Photoshop Plug-ins. SmartScore uses TWAIN.
Lastly, with SmartScore open from a non-admin account, go to FILE > SCAN MUSIC > SELECT SCANNER. Is the Epson V100 visible in this list?

As mentioned in an email sent to you a day before your post.
OSX 10.4.10 is not an option in our labs as we stay with "stable builds"and maintain unity in our labs.
You released your software to OSX before 10.4.10 was released and maintain that your software works on 10.4 or higher. So this should not be the issue. Permissions have also been corrected as part of a custom startup script we run, so this is also not the issue.
I also mentioned that I tried your latest version 5.3.4. As for the Epson drivers That info is mentioned in my opening post.

Both the latest software from Epson's support site direct.
To answer your last question, Yes, the scanner is seen as "EPSON Perfection V10/V100" But as soon as you try to scan it says "SmartScore 5.3 Pro Scanner not ready" Which after that error message the scanner is no longer seen in the "Select Scanner" window . But can be used with a Twain Aquire in Photoshop.
