Desperate for help recognising pdf

Hello,

I have been trying to convert a score to midi, this is the only OMR software that has been able to give results that I could find. However the results are still terrible, heaps of wrong notes and horrible timing. does anyone know how I can get a better quality midi from this pdf?

Any help would be appreciated.

The original is pretty bad. There isn't any way to make it better.

Learn the SSP shortcuts. They will make the job of editing easier. By the time you get through it, you'll be a pro!

My only other suggestion would be to look for (and buy) a better edition of the piece, and scan it yourself. Sorry.

Dam, the only copy of this concerto is a poorly scanned PDF. Can't find any other better versions, would there be somewhere I haven't looked?

Thanks

Not that I know of.

Some tips from the field:

Learn the shortcuts.

Use a large view percentage. It makes it easier to spot the mistakes.

Learn the Control-click “quick grab” method.

Don’t sweat the small stuff: if a beam breaks when you correct a duration, you don’t have to recreate it!

Look for spots to copy and paste complicated measures, even if you have to correct pitches by dragging them up or down.

Sometimes, nothing works. Erase the measure and recreate it.

Learn the shortcuts!

Thanks for the reply's, I have the same copy as the performers edition. After many hours of work I finally have a working midi with no errors, however the save buttons are greyed out. I thought it was due to the errors, but now I really don't want to lose all my work. Is there a solution for this?

Nevermind I accidentally closed SmartScore losing all work, but managed to get a midi but using an mp3 to midi converter after recording the score via loopback.

Thanks anyway.

Are you using a paid version, or the demo? The demo does not save or print.

That explains why you couldn't print or save it.
