"Save as MusicXML and open in Finale" is greyed out
I just purchased SmartScore X2 Pro, mainly to be able to export files to Finale, and do more from there. I've viewed the Quick Reference Guide, and have even searched in this Technical Questions Forum, but I can't find how to solve my new problem.
The problem is that the "Save as MusicXML and open in Finale" button in the main toolbar, as well as "Save as MusicXML and open in Finale" in the File menu, is greyed out. Can anybody help me solve this mystery?

Re: "Save as MusicXML and open in Finale" is greyed out
I'd say that it was unaware for whatever reason that Finale is on the machine. Probably could be fixed with a reinstall of the programs and that is what I'd probably try first.
You don't really need that convenience button/command. You can do a File Save As... and save the file as an XML file. Then go to Finale and locate the XML file and take it into Finale. If this doesn't work then it would seem something else is amiss than just needing reinstalls.

In fact, I prefer to save as an XML, and then import to Finale. That way, I have the XML if I have to reimport it.

That makes sense - I'll give it a try. Thanks!
